Software for HV, LV and utility contractors

Keep your own record of permits to dig, operator documents, authorisations, energisation, work orders and the network you hand over. The operator's document stays the control. Sitestack keeps the copy and the trail around it.

Best for: HV, LV and ICP contractors, utility and cable laying firms, and anyone who builds, operates or hands over a network.

Records from the network operator

Operators issue their own safety documents. Sitestack records them, whoever the operator is.

  • Operator documents recorded

Keep a copy of the network operator's safety document, an energisation request or a planned interruption. It is recorded from the operator's system and never issued by Sitestack. That includes your own company when you run a client's network under your own rules.

  • Permit to dig

Record the locating, trial holes and digging precautions before ground is broken. The checks sit on the permit with who signed and when.

  • Authorisations by rating

Record each person's authorisation by voltage band or gas pressure tier, the operator that issued it and when it ends. Ratings match one for one, so 11 kV does not cover 33 kV. You are reminded before one lapses.

  • Energisation and as-laid records

Record the energisation outcome and the dates. Sitestack then makes a task and a draft transmittal for the as-laid issue, and exports the route as GeoJSON and CSV.

Everyday operations

For companies that answer faults and run networks for other owners.

  • Work orders and call outs

Log a fault, emergency or client request. Assign it, then record attendance, making safe, restoring and completion with the times you enter. Response targets are yours, with their source.

  • Standby rota

Keep a company rota of who is on call and in which role. Once an entry has started it is evidence of who was on call, so it can be cancelled with a reason but never deleted.

  • Lone working as a record

Record who is working alone, where, their named contacts and how often they will check in. A position is kept only if the person chooses to share it.

  • Operating programmes recorded

Keep the header and the completed sheet of a switching or valving programme prepared by the operator. Sitestack does not record each operation and never issues or approves a programme.

Plant, assets and handover

  • Plant and test equipment register

Register excavators, cable locators, testers, gas detectors, lifting kit and vehicles, with examinations, calibration and pre use checks. It is included free with the add-on.

  • Asset register

Keep one register of the equipment on a job, with records of events such as SF6 and other gas. Check schedules and files can sit on each asset, and the register feeds your handover.

  • Network handover packs

Build the adoption pack for the operator, the private network owner's pack or the generation pack. The lists start from presets you check and change. Partners upload their documents by link.

  • Private owners and generation

Hand a private network to its owner, or keep the documents a generator sends to its operator. Sitestack records what was given and when. The generator makes the submission.

What Networks and Utilities costs

Every add-on is on while you try Sitestack. Keep the ones you use.

What it does not do. Sitestack records. It does not issue permits, sanctions, isolations or switching programmes for a network operator, and it never decides energisation, adoption, reportability or anyone's competence. It does not file anything with a street works register or an operator. Lone working is a record: Sitestack does not watch a session, raise an alarm or escalate, so keep your own lone worker arrangement. Check your own obligations and the operator's rules.

Questions

Networks and Utilities: what people ask

Does Sitestack issue permits or safety documents for the network operator?
No. The operator's document is the control. Sitestack keeps your copy of it, the people and authorisations involved, the times and the links to the rest of the job.
Is it only for one kind of contractor?
No. It is for any HV, LV or ICP contractor, utility or cable laying firm, and for any company that builds, operates or hands over a network. Gas, water and telecoms contractors use the same tools.
What does the lone working record do?
It records who is working alone, where, who their contacts are, how often they check in and each check in. It does not alert anyone if a check in is missed. Keep a radio or call in routine, or a lone worker service, for that.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. The 14 day trial has every add-on on. Your card is taken at sign up and nothing is charged until the trial ends.
How is it priced?
A flat £59 a month per company, ex VAT. It is not per seat and it is the same on every plan. Paying yearly costs ten months for twelve. Subcontractors, consultants and clients get free logins.
What happens if I switch it off?
Everything you recorded stays readable and exportable. Only new work of that kind stops. Work already under way, such as an open permit, is never blocked by billing.
